Kryolan Aqua Color in Black ~ Review + Swatch

Posted in , , , ,
Hey there Sweet People, let me introduce to a product i adore from ages!
my Kryolan Aqua Color in Black..commonly known as a cake liner in Pakistan

What the Say?

Aquacolor is a glycerin-based compact make-up, especially color-intensive, with the ingredients of superior-quality skin cream preparations. Aquacolor is universally applicable, primarily as a make-up for painting face and body. Application is effortless, with an only slightly moistened make-up sponge or brush. After drying, it can be gently buffed with a soft towel or with the hand - but is not powdered. Setting spray is recommended if the make-up will be subjected  to extreme conditions. Aquacolor is extensively smudge-proof and can be easily removed with soap and water.

Aquacolor is available in an extensive variety of more than 132 shades, which include skin, vivid and metallic shades.

My Experience

I basically use this baby instead of an eyeliner, tight-lining my eyes, or as an eyeshadow base!
and this has been ShyCheeeks most-used and most-loved makeup product

The Packaging is Plastic, but no issues with it..the lid easily comes off and goes back on with no problem at all..theres ALOT of product in it, will seriously last a LONG time!

The product has to be used with water, what i do is put some water in the lid and dip my brush in it, then dip the brush in the color to get the product on it..lightly wipe the excess water on the back of your hand or on the corner of the package lid and apply the eyeliner easily like you do with a gel/cream liner
It dries out with a matte finish and as an eyeliner, it doesn't move or fade..but be aware that this comes off easily with water!
it may not give you the blackest black eyeliner effect on the first attempt, but you can intensify to color with another coat

As an eyeshadow base i didn't experience any creasing of fading with it, the eyeshadow stayed intense as it was when i applied it..i dont know about whole day, but it did last nicely for 6 hours!
you cannot line your waterline with this, it fades quickly over there but it can be used to tightlining

heres a swatch of it..

When i first bought this, it was 150 PKR, now it costs about 400 to 450 PKR, depending on where you buy it from

Overall, this was one of my first makeup buys..and its still one of ShyCheeeks Favorites!
It will last you a long time, theres a wide variety of colors available in this..The color stays put nicely it doesn't move, fade or smudge until u make it
If used this with the Cake Eyeliner Sealer, it seals the Eyeliner..it enhances its durability and make it moisture resistant..but i haven't used that

ShyCheeeks Loves it!

What about you?
Will be waiting for your comments/ questions/ opinions...till then, takecare :)

  1. dont u think its non-water proof nature is a drawback.Though I dont know what else to use in its place (it is so cool)but whenever I use it it doesn't stay much longer and gets off with any little contact with water or tears..

  2. I don't use it on my waterline, it won't stay put over there..but on my lid i actually don't have any problem..
and for water-proofing it, Kryolan has the cake eyeliner sealer..which might solve some problems :)

    1. Aquacolor can be applied as an eyeliner but not as a kajal..its water-based and fade away quickly on the waterline! :)
